Fright Insurance Policy was a gimmick created by William Castle for his film Macabre. It "guaranteed" $1000 if you died of fright while watching the film. Some showings even had ushers in surgical scrubs and ambulances parked outside the theater. Moviegoers were also given pins that read, "I'm no chicken, I saw Macabre."

In Videohound's Cult Flicks and Trash Pics, "Fright Insurance Policy" was #2 on the list of "Film Gimmicks."
