  • The U.S. release, retitled as Doctor Butcher M.D., features an opening sequence (credited to actor/producer Roy Frumkes) of a zombie crawling out of a cemetery grave. The footage is thought to be from an unfinished Wes Craven horror anthology and is noticeably different from the Marino Girolami film. The juxtaposition of footage is a literal 'night and day' difference as the foggy night time cemetery is spliced with daytime jungle footage for an inexplicable reason.
  • Played on a double bill (as Dr. Butcher MD) with Slithis at The Lyric in May 1982.
