DVD Review

  • Picture: The 2:35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen transfer looks really great. The cinematography and direction is one of the best things about the movie and the coastal area it was filmed in provides some very beautiful scenery.
  • Audio: Dolby Digital 2.0. The sound comes through clear. Featuring a very cool score by Roberto Pregadio.
  • Extras: Holy Beauty Vs. The Evil Beasts Featurette with Ray Lovelock: A great little interview with Ray talking about his entry into filmmaking in the late 60s. He also discusses working with Director Franco Prosperi, who he got along with great, the enjoyable time spent working on Last House on the Beach and his views on violence in films today. Italian & German Theatrical Trailers.
  • Final Word: Another nice DVD presentation by Severin Films.
