Synopsis

The Boxer's Omen director Kuei Chi Hung returns to the helm for this notorious Shaw Brothers shocker about a meek young misfit who rescues a wounded snake, and uses his psychic bond with the cold-blooded creature to seek bitter revenge against his many tormentors. Chen Chih-hung (Kam Kwok-leung) is a quiet loner who lives in the country near a noted haven for reptiles. One day, after an injured snake slithers across his doorstep, Chen takes pity on the poor creature and decides to nurse it back to health. In the process, the disgruntled country bumpkin discovers to his surprise that he can communicate with reptiles. Destitute, sexually frustrated, and pushed to the breaking point by the fellow villagers who make him the butt of their every joke, the vengeful Chen rounds up as many of his scaly new friends as possible and sets out on a perverse mission of vengeance so shocking it has the power to make even human blood run cold.
