  • As mentioned in Craig Hamrick's biography of actor Louis Edmonds (Big Lou), Edmonds has a one-minute cameo as a CIA chief in this film.
  • In order to achieve the gruesome beheading in the Vietnam scene, an entire animated body with graphic facial expressions was built.
  • At the time of its release, the movie was haunted by controversy, as the censors thought it was too violent, and many minutes had to be cut away. Certain countries wouldn't allow movies where bad guys got away, and wanted them brought to justice, to make it clear for the audience that "crime does not pay".
  • At conventions, Irwin Keyes has said that he played the same character in both Exterminator films.
  • Policeman Dalton finds a copy of the Anarchist Cookbook at Eastland's apartment.
