  • As explained by Samuel M. Sherman in the DVD commentary, color stock was in short supply in the Philippines, thus the decision to tint scenes.
  • In the American release, the role of the very unconvincing rubber bat was expanded from what appears to have been only one shot in the original (and given the name, "Basra"), because the distributor loved the little monster.
