- The movie won the Best Martial Arts Award at 24th Asian Film Festival and was the 1978 Top 10 Box Office Hits in Hong Kong.
- Wu-Tang Clan's debut album, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), makes mention of the film in the title. Also, the US title is where Wu-Tang Clan member Masta Killa gets his name.
