*'''DVD COMMENTS''': Remastered, apparently. It looks okay if you haven't seen the Japanese dvd. But if you have, then you notice exactly how faded the colours are, how terribly dark the image is (the japanese dvd literally reveals new characters in many scenes) and how tons of image is missing from both sides. Thanfully the image is sharp enough and doesn't feature much edge enhancement. Audio is good, too.

  • Released in 2007
  • Region 2
  • 85 min
  • STUDIO: Nikkatsu
  • PICTURE: 2.35:1 Anamorphic NTSC
  • SOUND: Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0 (192 kbps)
  • SUBTITLES: No Subtitles
  • SPECIAL FEATURES: Biographies | Production Stills (10 pics) | Theatrical Trailer (3:16) | 4 Page Booklet
  • DVD COMMENTS: Good remastered dvd by Nikkatsu. There's a couple of odd moments with too high contrast or pinkish colours, but these only appear in a few scenes and generally the transfer doesn't show signs of boosting or edge enhancement. Strange. Either way, this really wipes the floor with HVE's R1 release, which is 10 times darker and missing enormous amounts of image. Audio is good, but the R1 may have a little more punch. Or perhaps the volume is just set higher (I've got got bad years, hehe). The Nikkatsu dvd is also available in a 6 disc box set with bonus disc and reversible cover art (original poster on the flip side). This separately sold dvd does feature reversible cover art.
