  • The film's killer was played by the second assistant director Michael Zenon.
  • Shot in 1976, but didn't see an American release until 1978.
  • The final image of Hal Holbrook sitting in the road would later be used for the cover of Holbrook's 1979 album 'On the Road to Soft Gold'.
  • The films wilderness setting 'The Cauldron of the Moon' was shot in a stretch of Ontario wilderness that had been burnt out by a forest fire five years earlier. Plenty of the chard trees left from the fire can be seen in the film.
