- The film's original title was PHOBIA, but was changed to make way for one of the catchiest double-bills in Drive-In/Grindhouse history, I DRINK YOUR BLOOD/I EAT YOUR SKIN.
- This was the first film ever to be rated X by the MPAA based on violence alone.
- With all the casting done, Director David Durston noticed a striking beauty named Lynn Lowry. Durston quickly decided to cast her in the film, but with no time to alter the script, he just had her play a deaf-mute member of the gang. Wise choice as not only did her presence provide from some memorable shots, but she would later go on to work with the likes of George Romero and David Cronenberg.
