The Harem: 249 West 42nd Street, Manhattan. The Harem theater was located in the north-western end of the Deuce and pretty much right across the street from The Anco. Previously a restaurant/cafe in the 1960's, the Harem was a 24 hour XXX cinema for around 25 years until being closed as part of the condemned block in the mid-nineties. The building the theater was located in was demolished in 1997 with a hotel and multiplex cinema standing in its place.
