Overview

Dyanne Thorne (born October 14, 1932, in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA) is an American actress and model. A young Dyanne (only 3 years old) came in contact with acting through a church performance. After that it became her biggest wish to become a professional actress. Years later she took lessons from the famous Lee Strasburg and Stella Adler in New York at The Actor's Studio.

She got her first role in "Who's That Lady? (1960)". After some TV work and Broadway shows she did "Love with the Proper Stranger (1963)". But to her surprise, her part was cut. Her next role was in "Encounter (1965)". Again she had no luck they didn't pay her. After that she went to Los Angeles. More TV Work and again some of her parts were cut. Dyanne had to change her strategy and choose cheaper genre movies nobody else would act in like: Point of Terror (1971), Pinocchio AKA The Erotic Adventures of Pinocchio (1971) and Blood Sabbath (1972).

Director Don Edmonds and Producer David F. Friedman picked her to play the one and only "Ilsa" in Ilsa: She Wolf of The S.S. (1974). It was her last chance to get bigger roles in better productions. With the Ilsa role good times came but bad times too. People were boycotting the film in Germany. Hollywood didn't care about her and she couldn't find any agents. So she had to do another Ilsa movie. She signed a five year deal for 10 films. But the other Ilsa movies were never made like: Ilsa meets Bruce Lee in the Devil's Triangle and Ilsa vs. Idi Amin. To get by during the lean period she did "Greta - Haus ohne Männer (1977)" aka Ilsa: The Wicked Warden with Jess Franco. Her last onscreen performance was in the film "Real Men (1987)".

Today she and her husband Howard (both had roles in five of the same movies) are ordained ministers, who own an alternative wedding business in Las Vegas, Nevada. They conduct scenic outdoor weddings as an alternative to a traditional wedding chapel.
