  • Early acting roles for Debbie Harry (of New York City's punk-new wavers Blondie) and Danny Devito (both uncredited).
  • Might be like the real life shooting of unarmed Randolph Evans in 1976 by a white NYPD officer, who was later ruled mentally ill.
  • Randolph Evans was shot to death unarmed by a now-former NYPD officer (Robert Torsney) over a month after its New York City debut. Torsney would later be ruled not guilty by insanity, which is what Murray's Ed Lacy was somewhat.
