Born Richmond Reed Carradine, John Carradine (February 5, 1906-November 27, 1988) was an American movie, TV and stage actor with over 300 credits to his name. He started in the 1920s and first did voice work before catching on as an onscreen performer. He would take any role, no matter the quality, in order to fund his Shakespeare stage productions. He was the father of David Carradine, Keith Carradine and Robert Carradine.
