Overview
Francesco Sparanero aka Franco Nero was born November 23, 1941 in San Prospero, Emilia-Romagna, and grew up in Bedonia and in Milan. He studied briefly at the Economy and Trade faculty of the local university, before leaving to study at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano.
Franco is one of cult cinema's most well known actors. He began his career in the burgeoning spaghetti western genre of the 1960s and then moved into poliziotteschi (Italian crime thrillers) in the 1970s. He has starred in many beloved genre classics including: Wild, Wild Planet (1965), Texas, Adios (1966), Django (1966), War of the Planets (1966), Street Law (1974), Day of the Cobra (1980) and Enter the Ninja (1981).
