Edgar Georg Ulmer (b. September 17, 1904 in Olmütz, Moravia, Austria-Hungary [now Olomouc, Czech Republic]-September 30, 1972, Los Angeles, CA) was a Moravian-Jewish director, writer and producer. He was nicknamed "The King of PRC" due to all the movies he made for the studio. He worked in a variety of genres. Along with his "Poverty Row" movies, he was an uncredited music supervisor for Disney's Fantasia. His last film as a director was 1964's The Cavern. He passed away from a stroke in 1972.
