Overview
Dick Randall born Irving Reuben (March 3, 1926 - May 14, 1996) was a film producer who specialized in low-budget exploitation films. Randall got his start in show business as a writer for Milton Berle and worked on several 1950s television quiz shows. Randall's first venture into the film business was as a distributor. He then started producing his own feature films. Dick made a variety of movies all over the world in several genres including mondo films ("Mondo Inferno," "The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield"), horror ("King of Kong Island," "The Mad Butcher," "Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks," "Crocodile"), gialli ("The Girl in Room 2a," "French Sex Murders"), Kung Fu ("Last Tiger from Canton," "The Real Bruce Lee," "Challenge of the Tiger"), spy movies ("Death Dimension," "For Your Height Only"), soft-core erotica ("An Erotic Journal of a Lady from Thailand," "The Daughter of Emmanuelle," "The Erotic Adventures of Robinson Crusoe"), and 80s slashers ("Pieces," "Don't Open 'Til Christmas," "Slaughter High"). Randall often wrote the stories or co-wrote the scripts for several of his films and occasionally acted in his movies in cameo roles. Randall directed one film under his alias "Robert H. Oliver": Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks.
