Overview

Robert Kelljan (born June 23 1930, Union City, New Jersey, Died: November 25, 1982, Los Angeles, California, USA) was an actor and director of exploitation films and various TV shows. Kelljan got his start in show business playing small roles on television most notably the science fiction/fantasy series Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. Bob had some small roles in the 60s counter-culture themed exploitation films Hells Angels on Wheels and Psych-Out. During the 1970s, Kelljan began directing his own exploitation features. His most well known works include: Count Yorga, Vampire, The Return of Count Yorga and Scream Blacula Scream. He went on to direct several episodes of popular TV series such as Hill Street Blues," "Bring 'Em Back Alive," "Fame," "Police Story," "Charlie's Angels," "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Vega$," "Starsky and Hutch," and "Wonder Woman. Bob Kelljan passed away after a battle with cancer in 1982.
