Synopsis

Because of Eve was produced by cinematographer William Daniels. Wanda McKay and John Parker play a young couple who don't know much about life. They contact kindly, all-wise doctor Joseph Crehan (better known for his many screen portrayals of General Ulysses S. Grant) to fill them in. Doc Crehan warns the couple about V.D., illegitimacy, substance abuse and other cheery topics. Because of Eve was aimed squarely at the church-basement and high-school hygiene class market; its refreshingly nonexploitational approach lifts the film out of the seedy Mom and Dad and Reefer Madness category.
