  • Retitled The California Dolls outside of the U.S. because "All The Marbles" was an American slang expression that didn't mean anything anywhere else.
  • In contrast to how professional wrestling is typically portrayed in the media, this film pushes the idea that wrestling is real. As the manager of The Toledo Tigers says after The Dolls' first match with them, "Nobody's supposed to win!"
  • Legendary female wrestler Mildred Burke and two of her students trained the actresses for the movie, and they did their own moves.
  • The film was not a hit in the U.S., but did very well overseas.
  • Director Robert Aldrich's death prevented a sequel where The California Dolls would have competed in Japan.
