  • John Humphries had never acted before doing this film. He has since said that he took his acting cues from Jo Canterbury whom he knew had some acting experience Off-Broadway. So as her performance became more teary and shrill, so did his.
  • This film was featured on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (1988) in 1993. John Humphries, who, in his only acting appearance, played Mikey, was a special guest at the first Mystery Science Theater 3000 convention in 1994.
  • According to John Humphries, most of the cast and crew of this film were friends or relatives of director Ben Parker.
  • While it was largely ignored upon its release in 1964, the film's showing on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (1988) in 1993 revitalized interest in it, so much so that it was given a premiere showing in Huntington, West Virginia (where it was filmed) in 1994. The premiere was attending by several surviving cast and crew members.
  • Although the lyrics to the song "Yipe Stripes" claim that striped pants are the latest fashion craze, no one is shown wearing striped pants at any time during the film.
