  • Most of this film was already released as The Slaughter, filmed in Argentina and released in 1971. The Slaughter had very few playdates, and it's noted that the distributor was called Distrifear - A one film wonder. Snuff's fake snuff scene and its memorable ad line "The film that could only be made in Argentina, where life is CHEAP" was added on by Monarch Releasing after Findlay sold it to them. The original edit of this film could be lost leaving Snuff the only version of this film.
  • The final scene involving the simulated murder of a cast member was shot much later than the rest of the film at the behest of the film's distributor.
