- A Slithis Survival Kit was handed out to everyone that bought a ticket to the theatrical showing.
- Win Condict had to be sewn into the rubber Slithis costume every day because said outfit didn't have any snaps or zippers. Moreover, once Condict was in the costume he had to stay in it for the entire duration of a day's shooting.
- This film was shot in twelve days.
- The cast and crew averaged fifteen hours a day throughout the shooting of this picture.
- Writer/director Stephen Traxler wanted to do a sequel in which the creature terrorizes Los Angeles while Mello Alexandria's boat captain character hunts it down, but never could raise enough money to make said sequel.
