- Title is seen on a theater marquee in The New York Ripper.
- A major accident during production resulted in the deaths of five men. During a sudden storm, a ferry carrying thirty-nine men and the movie's complete outfit of camera, sound and lighting equipment. Thirty-four of the manifest survived but the already shot in the can film negative sunk fifty feet down with the boat. The boat was later revealed to have had a hole in its bottom.
