- The arcade machine in Christie's apartment is a prototype of the game "Bouncer" by Entertainment Sciences. Due to financial difficulties the game was never widely released.
- Lucinda Dickey was cast in the film because she had worked on the Breakin' films, which were both directed by Sam Firstenberg, and she had the physical presence to do all the stunts during the film.
- On the Castle episode "The Way of the Ninja" (Season 6, Episode 18, original air date March 17, 2014), when a Japanese consulate official dismisses Castle's theory that a ninja killed the victim of the week, Castle says, "What does she know anyway? I bet she's never even seen Ninja III: The Domination."
