- One of the Angel Guts director Chusei Sone's earlier films, Hellish Love is a ghost story with pink flavour. However, don't expect much ultra violence or twisted sexuality because that's not what this film is about. Sone creates several beautiful images but unfortunately the film feel a bit bland at times. The director has a lot of interesting ideas to introduce, which of some work while others don't. Nevertheless, Hellish Love s a rather enjoyable film that can easily be recommended to fans of the genre. I also have a feeling that it might greatly benefit from a better dvd presentation (I viewed the old UK dvd). --HungFist
