- On the wall where the phone is in their house is some graffiti "Dave's not here" a reference to one of their earlier audio sketches
- Cheech's boss, whom with he only spoke to on the phone, was Mr. Stromberg, another reference to their earlier comedy work on vinyl.
- In the version edited for TV, the duffel bag of pot they're cruising around with is filled with 'diamonds' instead. And instead of getting them insanely high, the aliens simply teach them to 'fly like Peter Pan'.
