Comments
German actress Elke Sommer and Telly Savalas star in this Mario Bava film. Saw her the last time in Deadlier Than The Male (1966). Altogether this is a good flick but often I couldn't follow the story. Didn't know what was going on. Of course Mr. Savalas was the Devil, but how the story was told visually I couldn't follow it. Now I know where Kojak (Telly Savalas) got his lollipop from (haha). One other thing, there are two versions of the movie. This one and an alternate version called "The House of Exorcism" released in 1974, in which they capitalized on the popularity of The Exorcist (1973) (see Fun Facts). Since Lisa and the Devil wasn't very successful, they put in scenes with a priest. Watch it, and don't forget to suck on a lollipop instead of eating popcorn. - GBS - 02/27/08
