| When the Grindhouses began dying out, classic exploitation film fiends had to find their kicks elsewhere. Thus began the home video era. To accompany the relocation of watching movies, the exciting, colorful exploitation poster art was resized to fit on...VHS boxes. Here at The Deuce, we consider these covers to be another form of unique classic media art. Today's DVD covers are so cleaned up and glossy, and thats fine, but theres just something about that old fashioned style of home video artwork that we love to gaze at. This section of the site is our own tribute to those days gone by when there was no hi-def digital players...just big clunky video tapes! These VHS covers are foreign (UK and South America). |
